Wings Aerospace Science Program
Wings’ Aerospace Science Program (WASP) is a hands on, inquiry-based kit developed by teachers for teachers. The kit uses the magic of aviation to spark students’ interest in science. Each lesson includes hands-on activities to illustrate core science concepts such as process and inquiry, physical science, life science, earth and space science and the nature of science.
WASP was developed by teachers, for teachers and contains the “best of the best” – the most effective eight lessons from a year-long curriculum which was statistically proven to increase student scores in math and science. We have been working with the Program for five years and have gotten great feedback from the teachers we've trained to use WASP in Colorado. We're glad that you've decided to use this highly-effective, standards-based curriculum with your students!
The staff at WASP is dedicated to teaching and motivating kids. We know that learning is easier when it’s exciting and we’ve experienced first hand the fun and fast-paced learning that happens using WASP.
If you or other teachers are interested in implementing WASP into your classroom please sign up to view upcoming trainings and news regarding the WASP. When logged in you can sign up for classes, order kit material, and become a full member. The best part about WASP is that it is free for teachers. Once you have completed the FREE training you can receive a FREE WASP kit to take back to the classroom and share the experience with the students. There are also great benefits in becoming a WASP teacher, you receive discounted rates for your class to visit the Museum, and free consumable material for future classes. You can also receive CDE hours as well as Adams State credit.
We invite you to and dive into the WASP curriculum and see for yourself what fun you and your students can have learning math and science!
