B-17 Fly-in at Centennial Airport Hosted by Signature Flight Support

Celebrate the Colorado Air National Guard’s 90th anniversary and the history of the greatest generation when Experimental Aircraft Association’s (EAA) B-17 “Flying Fortress” Aluminum Overcast comes to Centennial Airport.
Step back in time and experience World War II history by catching a Mission Flight or a Ground Tour on the Aluminum Overcast, a historic heavy bomber during our B-17 Fly-in.
Mission Flight Watch history come alive by standing in the footsteps of a bombardier, navigator or waist gunner when you experience this once-in-a-lifetime flight on one of World War II’s most vital and magnificent aircrafts.
Ground Tour Explore the nooks and crannies of this heavy bomber as you tour the Aluminum Overcast after it has finished its daily Mission Flights.
Bring your family and participate in free activities like:
- Seeing Warbird Aircraft and WWII Vehicle Displays
- Experiencing pedal planes and flight simulators
- Visiting the Veterans Corner
Join as we celebrate the Colorado Air National Guard’s 90 years of service.
- Visit with members of the Air National Guard
- View active military aircraft
Mission Flights and Ground Tours are daily activities. Flights are scheduled each morning and early afternoon, with Ground Tours following the last flight.

Hangar Dance at Centennial Airport
Saturday, June 8 7:00 – 11:00 p.m.
Join us as we step back in time at our WWII-era Hangar Dance. You can dance the night away to the swinging sounds of the 1940s.
Highlights of the event also include:
- Listening to the music of Pink Champagne, a tribute to the Andrews Sisters
- Climbing aboard a B-17 aircraft for an exclusive ground tour
- Enjoying an honorary presentation on the Colorado Air National Guard’s 90 years of service
- Visiting with WWII re-enactors
- Capturing a memory in a photo booth with costume clothing
Period dress or flight attire is encouraged.
