Housed in our historic 150,000 sq. ft. 1930's-era former Air Force hangar, Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum maintains a collection of over four dozen aircraft and space vehicles. Highlights of the collection include a rare B-18A Bolo, five of the Century-Series fighters, an RF-84K Thunderflash Parasite, an Alexander Eaglerock built in Colorado and a Star Wars X-Wing fighter. Wing Over the Rockies is the only place in the world outside of the SAC Museum in Nebraska where you can also see a B-1A Lancer.

Wings is proud to host a new traveling exhibit – Fly Girls of World War II. Based on the history of the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP), the exhibit is a labor of love from the mother/daughter team of Deanie and Nancy Parrish.
As a young girl, Nancy grew up hearing stories of her father’s exploits as a bomber pilot in World War Two. After her father passed away, it was only then that she learned that her mother had been a pilot in the war as well. The stories Deanie told Nancy about flying the B-26 Marauder to tow aerial gunnery targets inspired Nancy to learn all she could about the WASP. This exhibit is only a part of her research and work.
On exhibit at Wings from October, 2012 through March, 2013, Fly Girls tells the story of the WASP through photos, artifacts, mannequins, and a short video. This inspirational story is one that everyone should see. Make sure you make time to visit Wings Over the Rockies to learn more about the WASP and how they have changed the face of aviation.
