Join us as we celebrate the fighter pilots of the 120th Fighter Squadron and their 90th anniversary at Tribute to a Fighter Pilot on Saturday, September 28.
The "Redeyes" of the 120th Fighter Squadron began service on June 27,1923. The 120th Fighter Squadron has been serving Colorado and the nation for 90 years. Since its inception, the 120th has been a part of every major conflict involving the United States.
In 1946, they became the first Air National Guard unit to obtain federal recognition, thus the motto, "First in the Air Guard."
You will be immersed in the legendary war stories and tales of flight from former and current fighter pilots of the 120th, much like those shared with pilots heading off to combat. Pull up a bar stool and enjoy our happy hour setting and learn about the 120th Fighter Squadron’s 90 years of service and how they earned the nickname, the “Redeyes.”
